New paper copies

Hi!
On Sunday I had time to order new paper copies and oh oh oh I did! I think I ordered 250 copies and I can't wait to start scrappin' with them! I have so many nice summer papers that I have saved just for these photos! I think I will fill an entire album with this summer only! Fun fun fun! I love summer photos! I'll be able to fill the blog until Christmas at least! Take care!

Back at work

HELLO!
Oh, I didn't mean to startle you :)  I'm back at work after four weeks of summer vacation and I have missed blogging so much! During my weeks off I've worked alot on my scrapbooking - but mostly the photographing part. I wish I had had time for alot of actual scrapbooking but I will take a week off during the fall for just that and I'm already looking forward to that!

Today I'm sharing three layouts that I've already shared on the Facebook group NicoleJones911 but they do need to be here as well!

First is my wonderful son and the story of when he managed to steal his dad's milkshake. I love the colors on this one!

This is my first try with Gelatos. I didn't like them here but Irit Landgraf said they work best on gesso and I was much more pleased with them in that way. I braided my lovely daughter's hair in front of the TV one evening and needed to save the photo for the future. I thought these bright colors fitted her and the theme.

Here is a double page from a very cold morning on the beach in April. We hugged to stay warm long enough to have coffee and cinnamon buns in the sand!

I have layouts and videos to come, I just need to sort out which I haven't already posted and which I have not posted but still deleted from my phone (which needs all the digital space it can get for the video recordings...) but you will see them all sooner or later!

Take care and thanks for visiting!

Going on YouTube or not?

Hello!
I've been thinking and rethinking it and much to my own surprise I've come to the conclusion that I'd like to take a more active part in the scrapbooking community on YouTube. I love watching videos of my idols scrapbooking and sharing their hauls and it has inspired me greatly. I've also realized that blogging isn't reaching out to the crowd it used to do and the communication is getting harder. Communication is the most important for me, I guess, and for that you need traffic.

Why have I been reluctant? Speaking English. Yes, it is intimidating for me, since English isn't my first language and I'm not used to talking English a lot. There is a huge difference between reading books and watching TV-series in English and talking the language on your own. I'm a very talktive person, it feels very akward to stumble and not find the words when trying to tell a story.

I don't think I'll be making process videos anytime soon but I've been thinking of making some kind of 'scrap vlog'. Share my hauls and my layouts, my thoughts and my experiments. I think that would work. I think that could actually be fun!

A lot of personal growth comes from stepping out of one's so called comfort zone. Perhaps this is mine? Perhaps I can learn something from this, something that will improve me as a person and a scrapbooker. I'll try and we'll see.

When will I start? I don't know. But I will.

Take care!
